Case Study 1: South Africa

Strategy

OWP created an inspiring event that generated excitement for the program and motivated the audience. Our strategy incorporated a unique and desirable destination – South Africa, and a schedule that allowed for a sufficient amount of networking time. This enabled participants to get to know one another, exchange ideas and celebrate their success.

Solution

We leveraged the unique visuals, sounds, and experience of an African safari to generate excitement about the incentive trip. To motivate the sales force, colorful “reminder” emails were sent to the team. Teaser gifts included a book on the wildlife in Africa and binoculars. A web site was created after the program that enabled all of the participants to download their favorite safari photos into an on-line album that was shared by all of the attendees.

Results

The event was immensely successful in motivating the sales force and positively impacting the annual revenue for the coming year. This trip achieved a rating of 4.9 on a 5 point scale in the post-survey results.
